Research meetings at the Wellcome Genome Campus – the home of UK genomics

A globally-leading conferences programme for your 2026 agenda

We invite you to join us for another year of sharing and collaboration with global peers and leaders, at Hinxton Hall Conference Centre on the world-renowned Wellcome Genome Campus, home of the Wellcome Sanger Institute and UK genomics research.

Our conference programme is more than a list of research meetings, we’re a community of like-minded scientists participating in discussion and sharing at the forefront of genomics research, innovation and application.

Our world-class learning environments are where many career support and visibility opportunities can be found, thanks to high-quality interactions with leading experts sharing groundbreaking discovery research, across multidisciplinary biomedical and life science disciplines.

An exciting year of genomics ahead

In 2026, we are delving into new frontiers, as well as expanding established meetings to cover timely topics of interest that align to the overarching conference theme. This includes exploring the extraordinary science that takes place at the Wellcome Sanger Institute, as well as specific research areas including AI in biology, sex differences in health, and computational methods for multimodal data integration.

In February, our inaugural conference on respiratory disease and biology will welcome leading scientists and clinicians to share and discuss the latest research in infection and respiratory immunology, with a focus on genomics, host–pathogen interactions, and translational impact.

Our popular Microbiome Interactions in Health and Disease conference returns in March, with new sessions covering women’s health and One Health perspectives.

April marks the 20th anniversary of our Genomics of Rare Disease conference, and to celebrate this significant milestone, we are welcoming global academic and clinical peers to reflect on the progress in the field, whilst exploring the challenges and opportunities shaping the future.

Spring welcomes another new meeting exploring the origins, patterns and consequences of mutation throughout various biological contexts and organisms.

We are dedicating May to our immunologist community, with an exciting week of back-to-back immunology and vaccines focused conferences.

Plus there’s much more to look forward to in the summer and beyond.

Join a genomics community for life

Our doors are open to PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, principal investigators, clinicians and healthcare professionals; offering you something of value as you navigate every stage of your genomics career journey.

Whether you are looking to hear about the latest research, showcase the work of scientists in your laboratory, present your own insights to gain feedback, rub shoulders with the scientists whose papers you have read, or explore the emerging talent entering the field, you will leave us enriched with new knowledge and contacts.

Forge lasting connections through face-to-face networking

Our small and intimate conferences encourage interactions between field leaders and early career researchers, giving you the opportunity to approach the scientists whose publications or talks have inspired your own work.

At the conference, Emanuel Rognoni gave an outstanding lecture. Given the close alignment with my research, I approached him to discuss some scientific questions. We exchanged email addresses and stayed in touch (he kindly provided feedback on one of my ongoing projects at the time). From there, the idea of establishing a closer and more formal collaboration emerged.

Where possible, we recommend opting for an in-person registration to experience the full value of the networking and socialising that happens organically against the backdrop of our rich genomics heritage at the Wellcome Genome Campus.

Our conferences are excellent incubators of relationships that offer future potential for collaboration.

Make new connections offering potential for future collaboration

Showcase the work from your institution on a global stage

In addition to making new connections, our research meetings provide platforms to elevate the work happening in your own laboratory or clinical setting.

Stepping onto our Auditorium for a short talk places you and your peers at the centre of our global genomics communities to build your professional profile and gain interest in your work.

Presenting your scientific poster during one of many networking sessions fosters further interactions with experts to solicit feedback.

For more experienced principal investigators, short talks and poster sessions provide opportunities to explore emerging talent, or even celebrate the contributions from team members working on the project(s) you lead.

Build your research profile, gain feedback, explore emerging talent
