Epigenomics of Common Diseases

15–17 November 2023

Wellcome Genome Campus, UK and virtual

Showcasing epigenomic approaches in common human diseases

Summary

(This conference will run again 12-14 March 2024, visit the Epigenomics of Common Diseases 2025 webpage)

At our 12th Epigenomics of Common Diseases conference, leading researchers will describe cutting-edge work demonstrating novel ways that epigenetics can cause common diseases. Discussions will also focus on epigenetic mechanisms in complex disease, translation of research for common disease treatment, and the role of epigenetics in inheritance. You will hear new research on computational epigenomics, reference maps, and how epigenetic variation can be linked to complex traits. Discussion on technological advances and their application in the field will also be included.

To complement the outstanding presentations by global leaders, we invite submission of abstracts on all areas of the programme. Stimulating short oral presentations will be selected from offered abstracts. Posters and poster pitch talk sessions will also provide opportunities to present research findings, or to get feedback on ongoing projects.

By bringing together scientists and clinicians working in basic and therapeutic epigenomic research, across a range of diseases, this meeting acts as a catalyst for advancing knowledge. There will be plenty of opportunities to establish collaborations through face-to-face networking with inclusive meals, and optional on-site accommodation.

Programme

The conference will start at 12:50 GMT on Wednesday 15 November and will run until 13:50 GMT on Friday 17 November 2023

Discussions will focus on a variety of exciting topics, including:

  • Epigenetics and common disease: establishing causality
  • New frontiers in epigenomic technologies
  • Epigenomics: from bench to bedside
  • Computational epigenomics
  • Inheritance, development and epigenetic mechanisms
  • Linking epigenetic variation to complex traits
