Accelarating Translation from Biodata to Impact
12–14 November 2025
Wellcome Genome Campus, UK
Summary
Major technology developments have catalysed an explosion of biodata alongside significant advances in Artificial Intelligence. How do we deliver on that potential to ensure maximum benefit for health and society – equitably?
This is a specialist and highly interactive masterclass to learn from peers and experts. It is focused on how to accelerate the translation and transformation of multiomic data towards health benefits from predictive biology to precision medicine. It is also an ideal setting to network with peers in this space, expand networks in the innovation and translational ecosystem for genomics and biodata in the UK, Europe and globally.
Target audiences – Who is this masterclass for:
If you are working as a business development manager, a technology transfer professional, investment analyst, innovation funder, or you are an entrepreneur or a researcher actively involved in translation and commercialisation; this course is for you. The workshop is designed for 40 participants to maximise discussions.
Through this workshop we aim to build a supportive network of professionals working on the translation and commercialisation of genomics and informatics.
- Scientific innovators exploring translation of new multi omics technologies
- Aspiring and early stage scientific founders of techbio businesses
- Leaders and staff of accelerators and incubators supporting businesses in this space
- Clinical specialists seeking to enable genomics and biodata innovations within healthcare
- Technology transfer and commercialisation professionals requiring specialist additional knowledge in translation of multi omics
- Investors in the techbio space
- Genomics and biodata scientists exploring career development possibilities
- Organisations seeking to develop more globally equitable strategies to exploit the promise of genomics and biodata sciences.
This is a residential course. Therefore, all delegates are requested to attend the meeting in person for the full duration to benefit fully from discussions and interactions with the speakers and other participants.
After attending this course, participants will be able to:
- Plan development pathways for diverse data driven technologies.
- Navigate the regulatory environment that frames the implementation of multi omics tools and diagnostics in the clinic.
- Consider a variety of business models and partnerships around biodata and bioinformatics.
- Recognise the opportunities arising from the application of AI to life sciences.
- Adopt an equitable approach to biodata innovation that enables broad access and benefit.
In addition we’ll look into the future to explore the breadth of opportunities for new products and services, derived from biodata that could benefit human and wider planetary health.
Programme
The course will run from Wednesday, 12 of November to Friday, 14 November 2025.
